The movie release for this was really poorly done. These books were great when I was a kid and actually still are. I’m taking it upon myself to design the property the way I would like to see it. Just a fun side project to pass the late nights.

Upon suggestion from a buddy I did this piece for my reel to bring things to a bit more polish than is possible working in games. It was a lot of fun especially after doing the 2D piece. The traditional stuff helps so much and applies to everything. The biggest advantage is that it makes you think carefully about every frame. Anywho, click on the image for the quicktime.

A few more finished pieces to come very shortly…but this is one of my favorites so far. There is a big Hawaiian guy that goes with this girl. The CTN Animation Expo is coming up this weekend so I am busy getting ready for that. Hopefully I can color up another piece beforehand.

Same lifeguard tower…different day…very cloudy. I really need to work on my edges and color. But this is way closer than I have come before. Just gotta keep on pushing forward.

This is a lifeguard station at Nicholas Canyon a.k.a. Zeroes. I had a great day surfing there and have wanted to paint a picture of that station for a while. I am working on another one from a different point of view and done on a more cloudy sort of day.
